Career and Philosophy
Graduated from the Van der Kelen-Logelain Institute and l’Ecole d’Avignon, Cedric Peltier aims at creating a personal painting mixing new and traditional technics.
Nature and Animals are his greatest inspirations and he tries to put them in the spotlight by inventing peaceful and lush landscapes where you can free your mind and escape from your everyday life.
His masters are Titian, Caravaggio, Vermeer, but he’s also inspired by Rubens, Rembrandt, Chardin and Le Douanier Rousseau. His path led him to Jean Michel Bénier, a French artist living in a nature reserve near La Rochelle, who taught him how to think a work of Art and the seriousness involved in the act of painting. This learning was very intense and the experience of living amongst Nature during many years was very inspiring to him.
During two years, he’s worked between London and Paris with Gabhan O’Keeffe, with who he’s explored different styles (Chinoiseries, Turqueries, Renaissance scenes). He got the chance to meet amazing crafters like Anne Midavaine and great Manufactures like Les Emaux de Longwy and La Maison Taillardat.
Back in Paris definitely after seven years abroad, Cedric has collaborated several times with La Maison Pierre Frey. This period was marked by the success of the wallpaper « La Serre », which is one of their Best-sellers.
Since 2021, Cédric Peltier has been designing monumental paintings for Cartier, retracing the Odyssey of the Panther for their various boutiques around the world. Unique wall decorations that open up interior spaces to other horizons, inviting you to dream and escape! From this epic, prestigious collaborations were born with several art craftsmen such as Lison de Caunes or Pierre Henri Beyssac. Cédric Peltier admits it without ambiguity. It is this combination of exceptional know-how that brings his works into another dimension…
L’Atelier Cédric Peltier is now based in Paris and creates for you, unique murals to decorate the walls of your interiors.
