La Mamounia – Jouin Manku

For its 100th years anniversary, La Mamounia, the emblematic palace of Marrakech, decorated by the past by Alberto Pinto and Jacques Garcia decided to re-structure and re-decorate some parts of the Hotel. To do so, they hired the Cabinet Jouin-Manku. And together, we’ve created an amazing 115m2 mural printed on ceramic tiles for the italian restaurant run by the famous french chef Jean Georges.

I’ve been invited by La Mamounia during a weekend to take inspiration from their amazing gardens and here is the result:

Many thanks to:

Laure Dimitropoulos for the graphic part, her generosity and her patience.

-Cynthia Gomes for her precious help.

-Antoine Lavin for the quality of his pictures

-Sylvie & Eric for their heartwarming welcome during the process

-Alan Keohane for her beautiful pictures of the restaurant.

And of course to La Mamounia and Jouin-Manku for their trust all along the project.
